Gas & Generation Conference 2010

Securing Australia´s sustainable power supply.

This conference will be held at Harbours Edge Events Centre,
Darling Harbour, Sydney on 17 & 18 August 2010.

The gas industry is on the cusp of a massive investment program needed to meet national electricity consumption demands from 2010 to 2030 while reducing Australia´s greenhouse gas footprint. The prize for gas suppliers, gas generators and a myriad of service companies is worth tens of billion dollars, but there are many hurdles to overcome to ensure success.

This conference will bring together leaders in the gas and generation industry for a two day seminar to discuss important issues impacting on gas–fuelled generation facing Australia today and tomorrow. With the Government proposing sweeping changes to the energy market it is important to be part of this conference to gain first hand knowledge of these proposed new directions.

The key factor facing the domestic gas industry is probably a larger and enforced renewable scheme that could see its share of powering generation actually fall from current levels over the next 20 years — an unwelcome scenario!
